This research aims to determine the expected value of strategy (expected payoff) from the promotional strategies carried out by two Indonesian e-commerce companies, Tokopedia and Shopee. It is intended to generate maximum profit or minimal loss caused by the competition between the two companies through game theory simulation. The research design uses quantitative data with an applied research design. The analytical method used in this research is the Game Theory approach. The data was processed using the POM-QM application for Windows V5.2. The results show that completing the competitive payoff matrix in both e-commerce companies uses a pure strategy. The calculations and data processing results show that the maximum value is the same as the minimum value, which means that the saddle point has been reached and is the Optimal Strategy for the game value of -24.11. Because the game value from the payoff matrix is negative, the game is won by the column player, namely Shopee, using a promotional strategy in the form of free shipping. Meanwhile, to minimize the loss of row players, Tokopedia can use a promotional strategy in the form of cashback

The Covid 19 pandemic has caused children to spend more time at home and an increase in their digital addiction tendencies. Children’s digital game addictions were affected by parents’ strategies and negatively affected their social and emotional development. The study was carried out in order to determine the digital game addiction tendency levels of children and the strategies applied by the parents, and to examine the correlation between the results obtained and the social-emotional development of the children. The study was designed as a cross-sectional study. 142 children attending pre-school education for 60–72 months were included in the study. Personal Information Form, Digital Game Addiction Tendency Scale, Digital Game Parental Mediation Scale and Ages & Stages Questionnaires: Social-Emotional were used. As a result, the increase in digital game addiction in children has negatively affected social and emotional development. The level of digital game addiction tendency is associated with parents’ digital game manipulation strategies. Active parental guidance strategy prevented children’s digital game addiction tendency, while digital oriented guidance and free parental strategies increased addiction tendency.

Game evolution and simulation analysis of power battery recycling in China under conflicting supply and demand of critical metals

A great demand for lithium, cobalt, nickel, and other critical metals by power batteries has been increasing with the explosive development of the new energy industry, which further exacerbated the contradiction between the supply and demand of critical metals. In addition, two key factors, including an imbalance of government reward and punishment and a low degree of cooperation between manufacturers and recycling enterprises, have hindered the recovery and utilization of critical metals in power battery with the expansion of the power battery recycling market. A three-party evolutionary game model, including power battery manufacturers, third-party recycling enterprises, and the government, was constructed in this study to analyze the evolutionary stability of the strategy selection of each participant. Also, the influence of each factor on the three-party strategy selection and verifying the reliability of the results through simulation were also discussed. The results show that 1) both government incentives and punishments are beneficial for promoting cooperation between power battery manufacturers and recycling enterprises. The cost of cooperation will be the key factor affecting power battery recycling. 2) Increasing the probability of cooperation is an effective way to ensure the increase in income of both parties after cooperation. Further suggestions, including the establishment of a dynamic reward and punishment mechanism by the government and strengthening the cooperation to cope with the continued tight supply of critical metals by the manufacturers and recyclers, were also put forward in this research.
