While Kooria (2020) acknowledges the racially motivated mob violence on people of African descent in South Asia-those besides the Siddis, Sheedis, and Ceylon Africans, such as present day continental African immigrants to the region-these narratives continue to remain on the margins of the articles in this special issue.
