One of the functions of the Zoo is educational tourism. However, the obstacle when they are at the Zoo is that visitors rarely see animals moving freely and do not see the overall shape of the animal's body because some animals are dangerous and cannot be touched carelessly. In addition, the information presented on the information boards is minimal. With these problems, an idea emerged to create a system that could help as an educational medium, especially for school students, in an exciting way. This research aims to develop a Virtual Reality (VR) zoo with an Internet of Things (IoT) approach as an educational medium for recognizing wild animals. This VR is embedded in the YouTube application as a medium for running it so that students can use an Android-based smartphone; wild animal objects will appear in 3D animation and sound, along with information about wild animals. This research is development research using the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) model. This application was tested on five smartphone users with the Android operating system. Based on the test results, the application system can run on several mobile devices using Android from Version 5.1.1 to Android 11. The IoT-based VR zoo application was successfully built to become an alternative for students and tourists who want to see and interact with wild animals up close. Future researchers are expected to be able to analyze this VR application on students' understanding of the concepts of the material being taught.

Factors Influencing the Adoption of IoT for E-Learning in Higher Educational Institutes in Developing Countries

The internet of things (IoT) is an emerging paradigm of educational applications and innovative technology in the current era. While capabilities are increasing day by day, there are still many limitations and challenges to utilizing these technologies within E-Learning in higher educational institutes (HEIs). The IoT is well-implemented in the United States of America (USA), United Kingdom (UK), Japan, and China but not in developing countries, including Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, etc. Few studies have investigated the adoption of IoT in E-Learning within developing countries. Therefore, this research aims to examine the factors influencing IoT adoption for E-Learning to be utilized in HEIs. Further, an adoption model is proposed for IoT-based E-Learning in the contexts of developing countries and provides recommendations for enhancing the IoT adoption for E-Learning in HEIs. The IoT-based E-Learning model categorizes these influencing factors into four groups: individual, organizational, environmental, and technological. Influencing factors are compared along with a detailed description in order to determine which factors should be prioritized for efficient IoT-based E-Learning in HEIs. We identify the privacy (27%), infrastructure readiness (24%), financial constraints (24%), ease of use (20%), support of faculty (18%), interaction (15%), attitude (14%), and network and data security (14%), as the significant E-Learning influencing factors on IoT adoption in HEIs. These findings from the researcher's perspective will show that the national culture has a significant role in the individual, organizational, technological, and environmental behavior toward using new technology in developing countries.

The effect of technology has caused many institutions to intend to change their approach to teaching and learning, resulting in the current model of teaching and learning being an active collaborative and self-directed one. The connection between education and technology has received attention as part of educational policy and practice. Debatable topics like how to use technology in the classroom have therefore punctuated complaints about declining educational standards, unemployed learners, duplicate curricula, and archaic institutional structure. In the framework of information and communication technologies and societal growth, the Internet of Things (IoT) is asserting its vital position. Institutions may improve learning outcomes with the use of the Internet of Things by offering enhanced learning experiences, increasing operational effectiveness, and collecting real-time, actionable insight into student performance. The current state of the Internet of Educational Things (IoET) is examined from several educational perspectives in this article; a few of them are highlighted, and both of their established and potential educational benefits are discussed. Additionally, it provides in-depth discussions on current issues and problems for the IoET from a variety of approaches. The investigation performs a bibliometric analysis with VOSviewer to focus on peer-reviewed research articles published in well-known publications databases over the past eight (8) years. The findings of this study should also act as a strong incentive for universities and colleges around the world to use IoT-based teaching and learning technology for improved academic achievement.
