ELC) of the American Psychological Association (APA) proposed globalization as a compelling force in the 21st century, with implications for internationalizing the psychology curriculum in the United States. The following year, the ELC focused on globalizing psychology education, involving 159 psychologists from 16 national groups of psychology academic leaders at different levels of education and training, 11 psychological associations apart from the APA, 27 divisions and 15 governance groups from the APA, and several individuals from other countries. Since that time, there have been further conferences, publications, and calls for internationalizing psychology's knowledge base and education (e.g.,
