“…The Preisach model has been widely applied to describe electric or magnetic hysteresis loop, but it has seldom been adapted for the thermal hysteresis loop analysis of VO 2 thin film [14,15]. Because normal VO 2 thin film is composed of tiny crystals and each crystal exhibits a very sharp hysteretic transition [16], the thermal hysteresis of the VO 2 thin film can be investigated with the adaptability of Preisach model.…”

“…It is observed that this combined controller demonstrates better tracking accuracy than the open loop control with inverse model only and the conventional PID controller. The same approach with only differences in the feedback loop is also successfully applied to control the position of SMA actuators in [41] by Ahn and kha. Since in these two papers the inverse feedforward controller is designed based on the Preisach hysteresis model, it has the ability to track the minor hysteresis loop regions in which SMA does not reach maximum and minimum value of deflection.…”

“…In past decades, some hysteresis models were proposed, such as Preisach model [4], Bouc-Wen model [5], KP model [6], PI model [7] and so on. Among these hysteresis models, the model most frequently used was the Preisach model, which is based on the Preisach operator.…”
