Intermittency and particle correlations

Abstract: This is an analysis of the extent to which simple and general mechanisms explain the intermittent behavior observed in particle production. It is shown that a model based on simple particle correlations (with no fractal structure) can generate intermittency exponents similar to those observed experimentally and account for their collision-type dependence in a unified manner.
