Abstract-This paper presents an interleaved class E 2 dc/dc converter. In the proposed converter, N class E 2 dc/dc converters are connected in parallel at the class E rectifier. The proposed converter is suitable to the low-voltage/high-current applications. Since less current flows through the each converter, the amount of the power losses on the parasitic resistances are also reduced. In addition, the output filter of the rectifier is downsized because of higher frequency of the interleaved current. By carrying out the circuit experiments, we show that the experimental results agree with the numerical ones quantitatively. The laboratory measurement achieves the over 90% power conversion efficiency under 3.2W and 1MHz operation.

Abstract-This paper studies a system of parallelconnected dc/dc converters under master-slave current sharing and proportional-integral (PI) PWM control. Two distinct types of bifurcations can be identified. Depending on the value of the integral time constant, the system exhibits either a slow-scale bifurcation (Neimark-Sacker bifurcation) or a fast-scale bifurcation (period-doubling). Extensive simulations are used to capture the behaviour. Trajectories before and after these bifurcations are shown. The boundaries between these two types of bifurcations are located. Parameter spaces of the feedback controller for stable and unstable operation are presented.

-In general, for a large power system like DC distribution system for buildings, several power converters are modularized for parallel operation. However, in parallel operation, inconsistency of parameters in each module causes circulating current in the whole system. Circulating current is directly related to loss, and, therefore, it is most important for the safety of the power system to supply the suitable current to each module. This paper proposes a control method to reduce circulating current caused during parallel operation. Accordingly, the validity of parallel operation system including response characteristics and normal state was verified by simulation and experiment result.
