Indicators of adversity, such as the experience of income poverty, tend to co-occur with other risks such as low parental education, parental worklessness, family instability, poor housing, and area deprivation (Schoon, Cheng, Jones, & Maughan, 2013;Schoon, Jones, Cheng, & Maughan, 2012;Schoon & Melis, 2019).
