Zagadnienia związane z pomiarami i oceną odchyłek kulistości nie są uregulowane w aktualnych dokumentach normalizacyjnych. Poza maszynami współrzędnościowymi nie ma również na rynku systemów do pomiaru odchyłek kształtu elementów kulistych. W artykule przedstawiono opisane w literaturze metody pomiaru i oceny odchyłek kulistości oraz perspektywy ich zastosowania w warunkach przemysłowych. SŁOWA KLUCZOWE: pomiar, odchyłka kształtu, kulistość Problems relating to measurements and evaluation of sphericity deviations are not described in contemporary standardization documents. Apart from coordinate measuring machines, in global market there are no commercially available systems allowing such measurements. The paper presents methods and systems for measurements of sphericity deviations that are described in the scientific literature as well as a prospective of their application under industrial conditions. KEYWORDS: measurement, form deviation, sphericity Normy krajowe i międzynarodowe nie definiują pojęcia odchyłki kulistości, ani nie podają zaleceń dotyczących pomiaru zarysów kulistości. Informacje na ten temat moż-na znaleźć jedynie w dokumentach przemysłowych.Przemysłowe dokumenty normalizacyjne opisują nastę-pującą strategię pomiaru elementów kulistych: mierzone są zarysy okrągłości w trzech wzajemnie prostopadłych przekrojach badanej części (rys. 1). Wyniki pomiarów są nanoszone na wykresy biegunowe, a na ich podstawie określana jest w przybliżeniu wartość odchyłki kulistości. Taka metoda daje oczywiście jedynie przybliżone wyniki, gdyż znaczna część powierzchni elementu nie jest badana. Należy jednak zaznaczyć, że najczęściej pomiar zarysów kształtu elementów kulistych ogranicza się do kontroli wartości odchyłki okrągłości w jednym przekroju.Normy przemysłowe określają najczęściej, że najlepszym elementem odniesienia w ocenie wartości odchyłek kształtu kulistych części maszyn jest najmniejszy okrąg opisany na mierzonym zarysie. Metody pomiaru zarysów kulistościOcena odchyłek kształtu elementów kulistych na podstawie wyników pomiaru zarysów okrągłości nie wymaga zastosowania specjalistycznych systemów do pomiaru zarysów kulistości -w takich przypadkach wykorzystuje się typowe przyrządy do pomiaru zarysów okrągłości. Są to dobrze znane, zaawansowane technicznie przyrządy oparte na zasadzie pomiaru zmian promienia, używane do kontroli odchyłek kształtu elementów obrotowych (np. w przemyśle łożyskowym).Z tego powodu na Politechnice Świętokrzyskiej w Kielcach opracowano koncepcję wykorzystania przyrządu promieniowego do pomiaru zarysów kulistości. Opiera się ona na użyciu wysoko dokładnego przyrządu promieniowego wyposażonego dodatkowo w układ do pozycjonowania mierzonego elementu [2]. Układ ten umożliwia kontrolowany obrót przedmiotu wokół osi poziomej oraz osi wrzeciona przyrządu. Podczas obracania przedmiotu rejestruje się zarysy okrągłości w wielu przekrojach poprzecznych. Zmierzone zarysy tworzą siatkę punktów pomiarowych, na podstawie których wyznaczana jest powierzchnia odniesienia oraz wyliczane są odchyłki...

Spherical elements constitute significant group of machine parts. In particular, they are commonly applied in bearing industry. Spherical elements should be usually manufactured very precisely and their form deviations are relatively small. Deviations of balls used in rolling bearings usually do not exceed 1 micrometer. The problem of accurate measurement of spherical parts is complicated and standards do not provide too many recommendations referring to this problem. The paper presents up-to-date solutions of the problem of measurements of spherical parts. It also presents the method of sphericity measurements developed at Kielce University of Technology. In addition, measurement strategies are presented that are based on developed method.

a b s t r a c tIn the framework of the Avogadro project, isotopically enriched 28 Si spheres had been manufactured as artifacts for the assessment of various physical quantities including the sphere volume which finally leads to a very accurate determination of the Avogadro constant N A . The Avogadro constant is an important input datum for the redefinition of the unit of mass, the kilogram, on the basis of fundamental physical constants. During the recent measurement campaign, it has turned out that one of the main contributions to the overall uncertainty of N A is the sphericity error and consequently the interferometric volume measurement. Since chemical-mechanical polishing has reached its limits with respect to form accuracy due to the sensitivity of material removal rate to crystal orientation, it has been proposed to use ion beam figuring for further reduction of sphericity error from currently 50 nm PV to values <10 nm PV. In this paper, a new concept and realization of a multi-axis ion beam figuring machine dedicated for deterministic correction of silicon spheres is presented. Aspects of long term tool stability and alignment procedures in order to relate the ion beam footprint to the sphere surface are covered. Furthermore, a process dwell time calculation and tool path generation method dedicated for spheres manufacturing will be presented and discussed.
