Interference of the Number of Remote Control Valves in Use on the Energy Performance of an Agricultural Tractor With Productivity Management

Abstract: The hydraulic remote control system allows the transfer of energy from the engine through a flow of hydraulic oil to engines and implements pulled by agricultural tractors, which can interfere with its energy and operational performance. This study aimed to evaluate the interference of the number of remote control valves in use on the operational and energy performance of an agricultural tractor, using a productivity management system. The experiment was conducted in a strip-plot design, with five replications… Show more

“…Two flow meters were installed in the fuel supply system of the harvester (inlet and return to tank), and the hourly fuel consumption (FC H ) was determined by them as described by Neto et al (2020). The operational velocity (v O ) was monitored depending on the number of pulses emitted through a speed sensor model SVA-60 (Agrosystem Inc., SP, Brazil) having an accuracy of 1 × 10 -2 m s -1 .…”

“…Among the various variables analyzed to determine a tractor's operational and energetic performance, we underline the wheel-spinning, speed and respective fuel consumption, power and yield on the drawbar, specific fuel consumption, and the engine thermal efficiency (Strapasson Neto et al, 2020;Zimmermann et al, 2022a).…”
