Full-Powershift Energy Behavior Tractor in Soil Tillage Operation

Gabriel G. Zimmermann,
Samir P. Jasper,
Daniel Savi
et al.

Abstract: Operational speed influences the soil preparation quality, the first established according to the working set performance and its traction capacity. The experiment's objective is to determine the influence of working speed on energy and operational performance of an agricultural tractor with Full-Powershift transmission when performing a harrowing operation. We conducted the experiment using lines, in a randomized block design. It had four operational soil preparation speeds, with seven repetitions, totaling 2… Show more

“…On close examination of Figure 5, we discover the linear behavior of the specific fuel consumption with a determination coefficient higher than 0.95 for both datasets, observed and predicted using an ANN model after analyzing the impact of plowing speed on the specific fuel consumption (L/kWh) under investigation. In the study of Zimmermann et al [62], they determined a second-order polynomial for specific fuel consumption per draft power through harrowing operations in the range of a forward speed of approximately 5.5 km/h to approximately 9.5 km/h, with a coefficient of determination greater than 99%. While the other examples in the study used less energy and did not differ among themselves, the slower speed required more energy for each produced potency.…”
