“…These samples were diluted by a factor of two or more in order to reduce the HBOC-201 level while keeping amylase levels within the linear range of detection by the Vitros 250. It should be noted that interference for other analytes such as liver enzymes was also observed with other HBOCs such as the Hemolink product, 0-raffinose crossed-linked hemoglobin [ 18].
