Abstract:The solubility, dissolution, and degradation of the bismuthate anion were studied in the presence of various metal ions. A molar extinction coefficient of the bismuthate species of 11.1 ± 0.2 L mol −1 cm −1 at 527 nm was determined through modified iodometric titration methods. The dissolution rate of solid NaBiO 3 was increased in the presence of smaller cations, presumably resulting from a decrease in steric hindrance during the ion-exchange reaction with Na + . Increasing the charge of the ions in solution,… Show more
The coordination of crystalline products resulting from the co-crystallization of Np(VI), Pu(VI), Am(VI), and Np(V) with uranyl nitrate hexahydrate (UNH) has been revealed through solid-state spectroscopic characterization via diffuse reflectance...

AgBiO3 is reported for the first time for the exclusive oxidation of Am3+àAmO2+ at near-neutral pH conditions. Literature methods of AmO2+ generation are generally two-step processes, i.e., Am3+àAmO22+ oxidation followed...
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
