“…Three ternary compounds Ni 2 ZnSi (cubic BiF 2 -type structure), Ni 2 SiZn 3 (cubic Ti 2 Ni-type structure) and Ni 3 Si 2 Zn (cubic FeSi-type structure), which were labeled as s 1 /s 2 , s 3 and s 4 , respectively, were found at 800 C [13,14]. Later on, an isothermal section at 297 C of the NieSieZn system was determined by Chumak et al [15] using X-ray analysis of 56 alloys. The existence of the three ternary compounds reported by Stadelmaier et al [13] was confirmed at 297 C. A new ternary compound of Ni 3 Si 0.33 Zn 0.67 with TiAl 3 -type structure in space group of I4/mmm was found at this temperature.…”
