Interações e habilidades sociais entre universitários: um estudo correlacional

Abstract

As interações interpessoais são a base de todos os processos sociais. O objetivo deste estudo foi verificar como essas interações se relacionam com habilidades sociais e, ao mesmo tempo, investigar evidências de validade para o Checklist de Relações Interpessoais-II. Participaram 542 estudantes de diversos cursos de ensino superior do sudeste goiano, com idade entre 18 e 55 anos (M=21, DP=5,48), respondendo ao Inventário de Habilidades Sociais, de Del Prette, e ao Checklist de Relações Interpessoais-II. Os participantes com altos escores em habilidades sociais apresentaram mais posições interpessoais do quadrante Amigável-Dominador, enquanto o grupo de baixas habilidades sociais apresentou posições de Hostilidade-Submissão. Além disso, as posições interpessoais do grupo com boas habilidades sociais mostram mais variedade de posições interpessoais. As habilidades sociais têm correlações positivas com posições amigáveis, e correlações negativas com posições hostis e submissas. Esses resultados apoiam a validade para o checklist de relações interpessoais-II.

Interpersonal Interactions in the Marital Pair and Mental Health: A Comparative and Correlational Study

“…The two groups differed in characteristics related to hostility, which is distinguished by interpersonal positions that make contact with other people exhausting and costly, even when considering passive hostility, more linked to attitudes of isolation, insecurity and inadequacy of beliefs, confirming the results of Couto, Vandenberghe, Tavares et al (2012) and associated with social inability. When considering active hostility, linked to attitudes of competition, distrust and disregard in contact with other people, this is even more intense.…”

Efeitos a curto e longo prazo de um grupo de desenvolvimento de habilidades sociais para universitários

“…Del Prette e Del Prette (2001) sugerem que uma melhora nas habilidades sociais pode contribuir para melhorar as relações sociais, a saúde e o funcionamento psicológico dos participantes. Além disso, uma pesquisa empírica mostrou que os acadêmicos com escores de habilidades sociais mais elevados são capazes de uma maior variedade de comportamentos interpessoais e flexibilidade nas interações com outras pessoas, enquanto que os com escores baixos tendem a usar de forma rígida sempre os mesmos tipos de comportamento nas suas interações (Couto, Vandenberghe, Tavares, & Silva, 2012 sendo um subproduto do ensino geral. Uma inclusão formal e planejada dessas atividades poderia ser mais efetiva para o desenvolvimento dessa capacidade.…”
