“…This assessment was found to align with the Clemson University Libraries' institutional charge and so directed the search towards more DEI-related resources. Cruz (2019) referenced ALA (2007) as one of the earliest roadmaps for DEI strategic planning in libraries and lists six essential elements to include in a library's diversity plan: a definition of diversity, an assessment of need, a mission or vision, goals or priorities, delegation of responsibilities, and a statement of accountability.
