One of the important components of the quality of food products is the quality of water used. A common way to remove unwanted impurities from water is aeration, i.e. the oxidation of chemical compounds in water by oxygen. Aeration devices with mechanical energy input in comparison with other groups of devices, namely with energy input with gas phase and with liquid phase, have low power consumption and additional mixing of the processed medium. The work presents a study of oxygen absorption in water in an experimental setup with rotor-pulsating apparatus for water treatment in beverage production technology. In this paper, the energy and technological parameters of aeration of a model aqueous solution of a certain concentration of sodium sulfide in an experimental setup with a rotor-pulsating apparatus as an aerator are determined. The experimental aeration setup allows conducting research in several modes and consists in particular of a vessel, a rotor-pulsating apparatus, two ejectors - one at the entrance to the rotor-pulsating, the other at the outlet, the recirculation pipeline. Air from the atmosphere enters each of the ejectors through a separate air duct. The aeration of the studied water took place in the recirculation mode for 20 minutes. Determination of the oxygen mass transfer rate is determined by the iodometric titration method on the rate of oxidation of sodium sulfite. Experiments were conducted without using a catalyst. It is determined that when placing the ejector unit at the rotor-pulsating apparatus inlet at the angular rotor unit velocity of 240.02; 270.18, and 300.02 s-1, the oxygen mass transfer rate is 1.39; 1.49 and 1.73 kg m3/h. At the location of the ejector unit at the outlet of the rotor-pulsating apparatus, the velocity of the oxygen mass transfer under the same conditions is 1.17; 1.36 and 1.63 kg m3/h respectively. However, the power consumption of the second scheme exceeds the power consumption by the first scheme by 50%.

An analysis of methods and equipment for obtaining hydrocarbon fuel was carried out. The purpose of the work is the development of technology and heat-mass exchange equipment for the production of universal hydrocarbon fuel, suitable for use in all types of thermal power plants. Heat and mass exchange equipment has been developed, with the help of which it is possible to obtain universal hydrocarbon fuel with a maximum size of coal particles no larger than 3 microns. The use of water-coal suspensions as an energy fuel allows to increase the technical, economic and environmental indicators of power plants. Thus, during the transition to coal-hydrogen fuel, it was possible to increase its thermal capacity from 13.2 to 21.1 MW when 70 % of coal was replaced by coal-hydrogen fuel. Currently, there are various methods and equipment for the preparation of hydrocarbon fuel. However, they all have certain drawbacks. The main disadvantages of the methods of obtaining hydro-coal fuels are multi-stage, metal-intensive, high energy costs, carrying out physico-mechanical and expensive chemical demineralization of coal, etc. Also, the disadvantages are the limited frequency of hydraulic shock pulses during processing in one cycle, which is insufficient when preparing highly concentrated suspensions that meet the requirements for liquid composite fuel intended for direct combustion. In order to improve the quality of the resulting suspension due to more effective grinding and increasing the amount of its solid component, heat and mass exchange equipment was developed, which can be used to obtain universal hydrocarbon fuel for burning in boilers, furnaces, various thermal power equipment, internal combustion engines, etc. As heat and mass exchange equipment, rotary pulsation devices operating according to the method of discrete-pulse energy input were used. For municipal water supply systems, industrial enterprises, and thermal plants, the content of mineral impurities in water is regulated, which necessitates the use of technologies for their removal. The object of study was water from an artesian well, which was treated on a rotor-pulsation apparatus that implements the principle of discrete-pulse energy input in an aeration-oxidizing setup of rotor type. The effect of the principle of discrete-pulse energy input on the process of extracting calcium bicarbonate from water to reduce its hardness is studied. It was determined that when treating water in the rotor-pulsation apparatus without adding ammonium hydroxide solution, it is possible to reduce the calcium ions concentration from 77.1 to 57.1 mg/L, and the total hardness from 13.4 to 7.6 mmol/L. It has been proven that the addition of 0.1 wt.% ammonium hydroxide to the treated water and treatment in the rotor-pulsation apparatus at the flow shear rate of 40·103 s-1 during 10 cycles allows for to reduce in the calcium ions concentration by 99.3 % and to reduce the total hardness to 0.16 mmol/L. This is explained by the formation of a water-air mixture, which, passing through the rotor-pulsation apparatus, is affected by shock waves, interphase turbulence, microcavitation, and vortices, which leads to an increase in the rate of mass transfer of oxygen from the gas phase to the liquid and its transportation by the liquid. At the same time, the structure of water changes with the formation of free hydrogen bonds, which causes its increased activity and reactive capacity. Water treatment according to the principle discrete-pulse energy input in the rotor-pulsation apparatus is recommended for use in the implementation of a number of chemical softening methods to reduce the consumption of reagents and increase the degree of purification
