Abstract: Controlled, localized, and timely activation of nanosized drug delivery systems (NSDDSs), using an external stimulus such as therapeutic ultrasound (TUS), can improve the efficacy of cancer treatments compared to either conventional chemotherapy methods or passive NSDDSs alone.
