“…The 10-minute median time for presenting a new patient case reported by our panelists is roughly double the 3-to 5-minute period allotted in videos depicting OMP-type processes. 13 Although the literature indicates that the OMP model is efficient for discussing patient cases, [12][13][14] the data in Table 7 and panelists' comments suggest that preceptors have not figured out how to tighten patient case presentations to approach true OMP levels.
