Integrated control of traffic flow in corridor networks

Abstract

First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to my supervisor Prof. Markos Papageorgiou. His support and guidance during the preparation of this thesis was exceptionally valuable. Moreover, I would like to thank the members of my advisory committee Assoc. Prof. Athanasios Migdalas and Assoc. Prof. Anastasios Pouliezos.My thanks are also due to the Scottish Executive Road Network Management and Maintenance Division, and the Glasgow City Council for permission to implement the developed strategy to the Glasgow M8 corridor network in Scotland and to publish all the related material.
