“…The Castel dell’Ovo islet, formerly called Megaris, stands right in front of the headland of Pizzofalcone (Figure 1), bordered by two different orders of submerged tufaceous palaeo‐shore platforms located at about –5 and –3 m MSL, respectively (Mattei, Aucelli, Caporizzo, Peluso, et al., 2020).
