Innovative Smart City Technologies as a Factor of Social and Economic Development

Abstract

The article deals with the most pressing problems in the field of smart technologies implementation in the urban economy, the solution of which will contribute to their transformation into a strategically significant factor in the socio-economic development of cities. The possibilities of using the building information modeling system in urban real estate management are investigated. The author analyzes the main features of the introduction of innovative technologies of the "smart city" in St. Petersburg. To maximize the positive results of smart cities and ensure the effective functioning of the urban resource management system, focused on improving the quality of life of the population, the directions for further implementation of the concept are outlined.
