ARTICLE INFOThis research was carried out to determine whether the team leadership skills of school principals differ significantly according to the variables such as gender, education level, school type, branch, occupational seniority, age according to the perceptions of teachers. In the study, the data were collected through questionnaire. The sample constitutes 210 randomly selected teachers working in elementary schools, junior high schools and high schools in Göksun province of Kahramanmaras province during 2015-2016 educational year. Team Leadership Scale consisting of 20 items and 3 subdimensions developed in 2008 by Çankaya and Karakuş was used as data collecting instrument. The first part of the questionnaire consists of the Demographic Information Section that was prepared by the researchers. Cronbach's alpha score of the scale was calculated and it was found as .96, which makes the scale quite reliable. SPSS 23 statistical package program was used in the analysis of the results. T-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) tests were applied as parametric tests and Kruskal Wallis test was applied as non-parametric test. The results of the analysis show that the average score of teacher opinions on team leadership skills of school principals is at the level of partly agreeing. When teachers' perceptions about team leadership skills of school principals were examined in terms of different variables, it was seen that there was a significant difference according to gender, seniority and school type of teachers while there was no significant difference according to education level and branch variable.
