Innovation of the Process of Inventorying of the Selected Transport Units: Case Study in the Automotive Industry

Abstract: In the current situation, highly competitive time when the emphasis is on shortening delivery schedules, streamlining the production cycle and, ultimately, reducing the total cost businesses are forced to optimizations and innovations. The article deals with the inventory of the selected transport units in warehouses. The inventory is currently being carried out through manual labor of employees. This paper proposes a possible implementation of new and innovative approach to inventory control, with the help of… Show more

“…Virtual reality has also its place for logistics in the field of planning and projection of transport units. This activity can use knowledge, presented in [11]. Virtual and augmented reality dispose with perspective for optimization of processes within production logistics and this fact raises these technologies for automotive industry [12,13].…”

“…As mentioned above, using 2-12th iterations, optimization calculation of the most favorable routes is performed subsequently. The overall process of solving this issue applying the Mayer method provided two resulting routes which are optimal with respect to the calculation procedure [5]. Given the fact that transport is provided exclusively by external carriers, a transport model suitable for own distribution (delivery) activities is proposed.…”
