Ulos Sustainability Towards Green Brands to Improve Marketing Performance Based on a Co-Creation Solution

The purpose of this research is to produce ulos revitalization and create added value for the green sustainability of ulos production, oriented branding and its marketing so as to increase the life force of weavers and micro-entrepreneurs. Respondents are weavers and training entrepreneurs of ulos, retailers with a total of 316 people engaged in the production and service of Ulos production. Data collection was conducted by survey methods and questionnaires with statements used on a scale of 1-10. Data processing results with SEM AMOS show that green sustainability of Ulos oriented branding (GSB) proved unable to mediate between Product Innovation (PDI), Process Innovation (PCI) and Marketing Performance (MPF). In other words, green sustainability does not directly prove an improvement in marketing performance. GSG shows that it is able to improve Order Management (OMG). The process emphasizes on the relevance of green sustainability, it can be seen that PDI and PCI are proven to improve GSB. Sustainability of green branding can only be achieved when there is product and process innovation. SDL demonstrates the need for the development of new service innovations by investigating the prerequisites and general principles for developing sustainability. Dominant logic treats services as a category of market offerings to be developed and managed like ulos products. The concept of service design has been developed referring to a subset of "green" processes associated with rendering activities to define a concept, structure, or service infrastructure. This research invites ulos observers to understand the values of Ulos authenticity and its culture in sustainable entrepreneurship, inviting weavers and entrepreneurs to have prosocial motives that influence their interest in sustainable ulos entrepreneurship and the role of academia in promoting sustainable entrepreneurial practices.

Micro and small enterprises (MSEs) are predominant worldwide and responsible for the greater employability of citizens, income generation, and production. However, they face resource constraints and rely on information and communication technology to remain competitive, which often causes many problems during or after the adoption process. Knowing the problems that affect micro and small enterprises and the solutions adopted may help other companies face the same issues. In this work, based on a systematic literature review (SLR), we identified and analyzed the problems that occurred during or after the implementation of information and communication technologies in micro and small enterprises and what actions were taken to solve them. We sought to understand the behavior of problems and solutions in the last 21 years and the factors that influenced them. We performed an SLR using the snowballing technique, retrieving 12,936 articles in eight iterations, and selecting and analyzing 105 papers. As a result, we identified 129 problems, divided into 12 categories, and 48 solutions. Such an analysis is advantageous for academia, governments, and business managers, as it allows one to understand problems in advance and formulate more efficient policies, plans, and projects for these enterprises.

Factors influencing micro-entrepreneurship among women SHG members of Sikkim: a propensity score matching approach

PurposeThe paper identifies the influence of socio-economic factors and livelihood training in stimulating micro-entrepreneurship among women self-help group (SHG) members.Design/methodology/approachThe study is based on a sample of 416 women SHG members drawn from all the four districts of Sikkim using cluster sampling procedure. A multivariate binary logistic model is used to find the impact of socio-economic factors, and a Poisson regression has been used to find the impact of training on fostering micro-entrepreneurship. The result is validated using a propensity score matching approach which corrects for the potential self-selection bias in the sample. Subsequently, a covariate adjustment estimator verifies the robustness of the approach.FindingsThe study finds that “size of landownership”, “amount of loan borrowed”, “member's age”, “number of earning and dependent members”, “number of years of SHG enrolment” as well as the “district to which the member belongs to” have a statistically significant influence on the graduation of SHG members to micro-entrepreneurs. Furthermore, it is found that members attending the livelihood training programmes had a significantly higher number of microenterprises.Originality/valueThe study differentiates itself by providing empirical evidence on how socio-economic factors and livelihood training stimulate micro-entrepreneurship among SHG women of Sikkim, which has so far remained unexplored.
