Inhibitory Power Test of Two Trichoderma Isolates in In Vitro Way Againts Fusarium oxysporum The Cause of Red Chilli Stem Rot

Abstract: This study aims to determine the control power of two isolates of Trichoderma obtained from the forest floor soil to the activity of Fusarium oxysporum pathogen causing stem rotation of red chili plant in vitro. The experiment was arranged in complete randomized design using 3 kinds of treatment of Trichoderma sp., T. harzianum isolate and control (without Trichoderma fungi isolate) tested for its antagonistic ability against pathogen; each treatment was repeated 4 times. The observed variable is pathogen inhi… Show more

“…The high percentage increase in stover dry weight and root dry weight was not only a result of the role of B. subtilis and Trichoderma sp but also as a form of optimal response from plants. Soybean is responsive to light [9] which is manifested in optimal sugar production at the end of the photosynthesis process and plays an important role in the process of young tissue growth [23] and the process of transition from young plants to mature plants in the vegetative phase [10].…”

“…isolate Tc-Jro-01 and Bacillus subtilis isolate Bs-Sdj-01 used in this experiment was a collection of the UMSIDA. Trichoderma fungus isolates were propagated in PDA-chloramphenicol media [10] within 14 days of incubation. The culture of the harvested isolates was crushed and mixed with water to produce a suspension with a population density of 10 8 colony-forming units per ml (CFU.ml -1 ).…”

“…Pc-Sdj-07, meanwhile, the inhibition of two Trichoderma isolates was very weak (Figure 4). The fungus T. asperellum which, prior to species determination based on molecular markers [21], based on morphological characteristics was considered as T. harzianum, was effective in controlling the fungus R. solani pathogen damping-off on soybean [22], F. oxysporum causes root powder of red chili [23], Phytophthora infestans pathogen late blight on potatoes [24], and Colletotrichum spp. anthracnose pathogen in chili [25], and.…”
