Infraestructura portuaria y crecimiento económico regional en México

Abstract: Previous studies about the link between transport infrastructure and regional economic growth have differing conclusions. This paper addresses the problem from the port infrastructure and regional economic growth in Mexico. An index of infrastructure, interconnectivity and port hinterland is determined regionally and by analyzing panel data, the positive influence ports-growth between 1996 and 2013 for all coastal regions is explained.
