“…In addition, while readership numbers of these three quality newspapers are lower than those of popular newspapers, they are known to play an important role in the national political debate through, for instance, influential opinion pages (Trappel 2007;Truetzschler 2007;van der Eijk 2000). In more general terms, quality newspapers often act as agenda-setters for other media and for political actors and, as such, reach more people than just their readers (Veltri 2012).
