Los actuales sistemas de producción de alimentos requieren el empleo de alternativas con enfoques ecológicos y asequibles, entre los que se destaca el uso de los bioproductos generados por la acción de microorganismos que actúan en la nutrición, crecimiento y desarrollo de las plantas. El objetivo de este trabajo fue evaluar la respuesta de Phaseolus vulgaris L. var. Delicia 364 a la aplicación de bioproductos (hongos micorrícicos arbusculares y Spiruvinas) en macetas de plástico con volumen de 44 L de capacidad. En el presente experimento se utilizó el bioproducto Azofert. El experimento se realizó en el municipio El Salvador, provincia Guantánamo, Cuba. Los tratamientos se distribuyeron en un diseño completamente al azar: (T1) Azofert sin HMA (testigo); (T2) Azofert sin HMA + 2 L ha-1 de Spiruvinas; (T3) Azofert + Rhizophagus irregularis; (T4) Azofert + Glomus cubense; (T5) Azofert + Funneliformis mosseae; (T6) Azofert + Rhizophagus irregularis + 2 L ha-1 de Spiruvinas; (T7) Azofert + Glomus cubense + 2 L ha-1 de Spiruvinas; (T8) Azofert + Funneliformis mosseae + 2 L ha-1 de Spiruvinas. Se evaluó: altura de las plantas, diámetro del tallo, número de vainas, número de granos por vainas, peso de 100 granos y rendimiento. Además, se evaluó el funcionamiento micorrícico mediante la colonización micorrícica y la densidad visual. Los resultados mostraron que la aplicación de bioproductos (hongos micorrícicos arbusculares y Spiruvinas) incrementaron el crecimiento y el rendimiento del cultivo de frijol var. Delicia 364; asimismo, con la combinación Azofert + Rhizophagus irregularis + Spiruvinas se obtuvo el mayor rendimiento con 2.11 Mg ha-1, lo que representa 37.9% más que el promedio nacional.

Inoculation with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) has allowed for controlled development and growth in different species. However, its effect on some tropical species such as Swietenia mahagoni has not been evaluated. This study evaluated the growth and photosynthetic development of S. mahagoni produced in substrates inoculated with AMF. Using a completely randomized design, the combinations of two factors were evaluated: substrate (cocoa husk + coconut fiber + composted pine sawdust in proportions 6:2:2 and 2:6:2, and a control composed of soil + cocoa husks in a 9:1 ratio) and mycorrhizal strains (Glomus cubense, Rhizoglomus irregulare and Funneliformis mosseae). From 30 to 120 days after the seed's germination in the nursery, the leaf surface and the total dry mass were evaluated, and growth analysis was carried out using the relative growth rate and the net assimilation rate. At 120 days, the photosynthetic rate, stomatal conductance, transpiration and internal CO 2 concentration were evaluated. Significant interactions between the different factors were found for all the variables evaluated. The Glomus cubense and Rhizophagus intraradices strains, in the substrate made up of 20 % cocoa husk + 60 % coconut fiber + 20 % sawdust, produced significant increases in the growth and photosynthetic development of S. mahagoni. The importance of the mycorrhizal association is evident, as it provides S. mahagoni seedlings with more efficient photosynthetic mechanisms, improving their establishment in plantations.

Coffee production has decreased due to environmental and management factors. The current plantations are old and unproductive, also due to the rust problem, caused by the fungus Hemileia vastatrix Berk & Br. Furthermore, the shade in the production systems has decreased with the consequent increase in soil erosion, in addition to the increase in agrochemicals. Currently, the planting of new varieties with resistance to the fungus is increasing. Furthermore, it has been shown that various biofertilized perennial crops in nursery favor their growth. In this study, the effect of applying two beneficial microorganisms, Rhizophagus intraradices and/or Azospirillum brasilense, to the planting of four varieties of Coffea arabica L. was evaluated.
