Influence of Working Lining Parameters on Stress Field of Ladle Composite Construction Body

Abstract: The ladle is an important equipment of the metallurgical industry. Distribution of thermomechanical stress in linings has an essential influence on its life, and the size of its life-span influences the economic benefits of the iron and steel enterprise directly. Two-dimensional model of ladle based on law of finite element method is built, and the influence of thermal conductivity, thermal expansion coefficient, elasticity coefficient and thickness of work lining on ladle stress field are discussed. The calcu… Show more

“…The simulation test of the numerical example verifies the effectiveness of the method ( Liao and Li, 2020 ; Liu and jiang, 2021 ; Najm and EL-Hassan, 2021 ). In view of the fact that the Pareto optimal solution obtained by multi-objective genetic algorithm in solving some complex high-dimensional multi-objective optimization problems is easily affected by the disturbance of design parameters ( Yu and Li, 2020 ; Yang and Jiang, 2021 ; Yun and sun, 2022 ), the concept of robustness and the proposal of an improved robust multi-objective optimization method are used by some scholars proposed ( Li and Kong, 2012 ; Li and Liu, 2015a ; Jiang et al, 2019c ). On the basis of the classical fitness function expectation and variance, the expectation and variance are effectively combined, and the particle swarm algorithm is integrated at the same time ( Yu and Li, 2019 ; Sun and xu, 2020d ).…”

“…As it was analyzed previously, there are many models, methods, and ladle monitoring systems [12,14,15,[20][21][22][23][24] that automatically diagnose the technical state of critical production facilities, such as torpedo ladle cars. However, the existing models, methods, and systems do not allow the monitoring of the torpedo ladle cars without taking them out of service and do not have the possibility for preventive diagnostics.…”

“…2 Two-dimensional finite element model of the ladle was established, and then the influence of thermal conductivity, thermal expansion coefficient, elasticity coefficient, and thickness of work lining on ladle stress field was discussed. 3 Expansion joint finite element model of ladle bottom lining was built, and the contact stress of expansion joint in every layer was studied. The results show that setting 2 mm expansion seam can reduce the contact stress which takes up 1/6 to 1/5 of lining resistance pressure intensity.…”
