This research investigated diverse pre-sowing techniques' impact on the growth, fruit, and seed yield of okra variety Arka Anamika. From fourteen treatments, seven were selected based on germination and vigour index for a subsequent field experiment. The Randomized Block Design trial with three replications revealed significant variations in growth and yield among pre-sowing treatments. The treatment employing PEG (Poly ethylene glycol) 6000-13.5% (-0.25MPa) for 6 hours exhibited the highest germination percentages. Pseudomonas fluorescens-10g/kg of seed also displayed notable performance. Treatment variations were observed in plant height, branches, and flowering timings. The results suggest that in terms of plant growth and flowering time, P. fluorescens was more effective than Trichoderma viride. P. fluorescens -10g/kg of seed, demonstrated superior results in achieving maximum seed yield parameters, ranking highest overall. T. viride-4g/kg of seed, emerged as the second most effective treatment. Recommendations for preserving seed quality included KNO3 2% for 6 hours and PEG 6000-13.5% (-0.25MPa) for 12 hours. Application of biocontrol agents, especially P. fluorescens and T. viride, markedly improved okra variety Arka Anamika's fruit and seed yield characteristics. The study concludes by emphasizing the benefits of biocontrol agents on overall performance and suggesting targeted treatments for optimal seed quality.

The present investigation was conducted at the research and instructional farm, College of Agriculture, Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India during rabi (October–December 2019) to evaluate the influence of fluorescent Pseudomonas isolates on chickpeas through characterization and field evaluation. Eighty-eight rhizosphere soil samples were derived from different locations in Bastar and Bilaspur districts of Chhattisgarh, India. Potential isolates were required for fundamental research and practical application of plant growth-promoting rhizobacterial strains on different crops. Among eighty-eight isolates, ten fluorescent Pseudomonas (visible under UV light at 360 nm) emitting strong fluorescence were selected for the course of the investigation and characterized for the production of siderophores, phosphate solubilization, indole acetic acid, 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid deaminase, and analysis of antagonistic potential. Of the 10 Pseudomonas isolates, 9704 was identified as the highest phosphate solubilizer, BSP-23 was identified as the highest indole acetic acid producer, and BSP-19 was the highest siderophore producer. Fluorescent Pseudomonas isolates BS-1, BS-4, 9809, BSP-14, and BSP-19 were identified to possess 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid deaminase-producing ability following qualitative analysis. Our present investigation indicates that beneficial effects of fluorescent Pseudomonas could be achieved through simple and cost-effective seed treatment. Three fluorescent Pseudomonas strains, 9704, BS-14, and 9829, consistently increased seed germination and improved plant growth and yield (BS-37.9% and 9704-35.7%) attributes in chickpeas. Besides, confrontation assays performed against R. bataticola expressed varying levels of inhibition. The phylogenetic affinities of 16S rRNA gene sequencing resolved the species identities of selected isolates.

The Study was conducted during Zaid season of 2022-2023 with IPC-05-59 genotype of chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) Find out the Effect of seed biopriming on germination & seedling attributes in chickpea (Cicer arietinum L). The design of experiment was Completely Randomized Design comprising treatments [viz.T0-uninoculatedT1-Bacillus sp, T2- Mesorhizobium sp., T3- Pseudomonas sp, T4- Bacillus sp(0.5)+ Mesorhizobium sp.(0.5),T5- Pseudomonas sp.(0.5)+ Mesorhizobium sp.(0.5), T6- Bacillus sp.(0.5)+Pseudomonas sp(0.5).+ Mesorhizobium sp.(0.5), T7- Bacillus sp,T8- Mesorhizobium sp, T9- Pseudomonas sp, T10- Bacillus sp.(0.5) + Mesorhizobium sp(0.5),T11-Pseudomonas sp. (0.5)+ Mesorhizobiumsp(0.5),T12- Bacillus sp.(0.5) + Pseudomonas sp. (0.5) + Mesorhizobium sp. (0.5) . The treated seeds along with control were evaluated for their morpho-physiological, growth, yield, root parameters and biochemical parameters under laboratory conditions, The study revealed that seeds biopriming techniques with Bacillus sp.(0.5)+ Pseudomonas sp(0.5).+ Mesorhizobium sp.(0.5) concentration @ 1.0ml for 1 hours T6 recorded significantly higher germination percent (93%), rate of germination (5.38), mean germination time (11.16), root length (11.73cm),shoot length(13.27cm),seedling length(25.00cm), fresh weight (7.91gm),dry weight (1.62gm), vigor index-I (2324.91), vigor index – II (135.82), seed density (1.27), electrical conductivity (0.817), seed metabolic efficiency (1.018). which was followed by seedprimingwithT12- Bacillus sp (0.5) +Pseudomonas sp (0.5) +Mesorhizobium sp (0.5) @ 1.5ml for 2 hours and minimum was recorded in T0 (control).
