Abstract:Novel composites of silane cross‐linked high‐density polyethylene (PEX) reinforced by nanosized calcium carbonate (NCC) were welded to high‐density polyethylene (HDPE) using lamination method. The effects of NCC content on interfacial interactions of the bilayer structures were studied through morphological, mechanical, and thermal observations. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) micrographs indicated that transcrystalline layer could be generated by adding NCC up to 5 wt%, which improves crystallinity in the … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
