Influence of ICT Skills on Library Information Resources Utilisation by Undergraduates in Two Universities in South-West, Nigeria

Abstract: The study investigated the influence of ICT skills on library information resources utilisation by undergraduates in two universities in Southwest , Nigeria. Descriptive survey research was adopted for the study. From a population of 32,419 undergraduates in the University of Ibadan and the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, a multi-stage sampling technique was used to select 407 respondents. Questionnaire was the instrument used for data collection. Four hundred and seven copies of questionnaires were admin… Show more

“…Compared with several commonly used text classification algorithms, the SA-SVM classification model shows stronger generalization ability, the classification accuracy rate is significantly higher than other classification algorithms; it can be seen that the number of experimental sample data will affect the classification performance to a certain extent. In the classification experiment of Sogou Chinese text corpus data set, the classification effect of several classification models on the "sports" category is significantly higher than those of other categories; it shows that the text classification characteristics of the "sports" category are more significant; among them, the classification accuracy rate of KNN in the "sports" category reached 99.7%; this shows that some classification algorithms are in a specific category; it can achieve its best classification performance [23][24][25].…”

“…Effective service delivery is then defined as a timely, timeless, quick, accurate, simple and easy supply of a wealth of online information resources that satisfy library customers' information needs. Jamogha et al . (2021) view effective service delivery in the context of a library as the quality of service needed for a library to thrive and survive.…”
