“…A typical example is steel droplets dispersed into the slag observed in the steelmaking process. This special emulsion plays an important role in controlling the rate of reaction between molten steel and slag, and in order to clarify its formation mechanism researchers have studied the bubbling-assisted emulsification of liquid metal with molten chloride salts as the slag phase [14][15][16]. These studies demonstrated that micro-sized emulsified metal liquid droplets can be extracted by cooling them and then dissolving the salts into water.…”
