Abstract: Although body mass index did not significantly correlate, body height may be a predictive variable in predicting the graft diameter in ACL reconstruction and provide useful pre operative information.

“…Therefore, the results of the present study cannot be compared to the data by Papastergiou et al [24]. Other authors have confirmed the correlation between height and graft diameter [4, 18, 24, 25, 27, 32, 35, 37, 38]. …”

“…Various authors have analysed the predictability of hamstring tendon dimensions by anthropometric parameters [2, 4, 5, 10, 16, 18, 2427, 29, 31, 32, 3538]. Some studies analysed graft diameter [2, 4, 18, 25, 27, 35, 37]. Studies that focused on hamstring tendon length used small study populations or human cadavers [5, 10, 16, 24, 26, 29, 31, 32, 36].…”

“…All 9 anthropometric studies identified were successfully able to obtain significant linear correlations between predicted and intraoperative sizes. 17,18,29,[31][32][33][34][35] Height was the most common predictor of larger grafts. Overall, the quality of the correlations with graft diameter obtained by any parameter in these studies was weaker than that of the correlations obtained by MRI CSA.…”
