Inflammatory and cardiac biomarkers are differentially expressed in clinical stages of Chagas disease

Abstract: Background Chagas disease has a long clinically silent period following Trypanosoma cruzi infection and before development of overt clinical pathology; detectable biomarkers of infection and pathogenesis are urgently needed.
