“…Given its relationship with agronomic experimentation, routine assessment of the stage of ripening and the cost of sugarcane based on sucrose content, it is of fundamental importance to understand the attributes in the juice and stalk, such as Brix, pol, juice purity, sugar cane fiber and reducing sugars, and the total recoverable sugars during plant development, (Caputo, 2006).…”

“…The sugarcane ripening process has been studied in several countries. Given its relationship with agronomic experimentation, routine assessment of the stage of ripening and the cost of sugarcane based on sucrose content, it is of fundamental importance to understand the attributes in the juice and stalk, such as Brix, pol, juice purity, sugar cane fiber and reducing sugars, and the total recoverable sugars during plant development, (Caputo, 2006).…”

“…Based on the hypothesis that the production of glucosinolates by cultivars of winter oilseed rape (WOSR) and other Brassicaceae may attract pollen beetles, many studies have focused on the effects of host plants on insect orientation and feeding (Bartlet et al 2004), oviposition behaviour (Borg and Ekbom 1996), and egg production of the pollen beetle (Hopkins and Ekbom 1999). Turnip rape (Brassica rapa) has been found to attract more pollen beetles in both laboratory and field conditions (Hokkanen 1989, Cook et al 2002, 2006, Valantin-Morison and Quéré, Rusch and Valantin-Morison 2009. The same effect has been reported for other oilseed rape pests such as cabbage stem flea beetle (Psylliodes chrysocephala) (Buchi 1995, Barari et al 2005) and cabbage seedpod weevil (Carcamo et al 2007).…”

“…Para a maioria dos genótipos a aplicação de maturadores não afetou a produtividade de colmos, exceto o sulfometuron-methyl que reduziu a produtividade da SP81-1842(CAPUTO, 2006.…”
