Esta revisión sistemática examinó el papel del desarrollo local y la responsabilidad social de las organizaciones no gubernamentales (ONG) en la cooperación internacional para proyectos sostenibles comunitarios. Se llevaron a cabo búsquedas exhaustivas en bases de datos académicas y se seleccionaron estudios relevantes que abordaban estas temáticas. En términos de desarrollo local, las ONG se enfocan en fortalecer las capacidades locales, fomentar la participación comunitaria y apoyar la autosuficiencia a largo plazo. Implementan proyectos que promueven el desarrollo económico, social y ambiental en las comunidades, considerando las necesidades y particularidades locales. En cuanto a la responsabilidad social, las ONG se comprometen a actuar de manera ética y sostenible, asegurando la transparencia en sus acciones y la rendición de cuentas a las comunidades y donantes. Además, se alinean con los principios de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) de las Naciones Unidas, trabajando para promover la equidad, la justicia social y la sostenibilidad a nivel global.
