Increasing the Yield of Light Distillates by Wave Action on Oil Raw Materials

Abstract: The article presents the results of the electromagnetic activation of petroleum feed in the vortex layer apparatus. It is shown that under the electromagnetic influence, there is a significant increase in the proportion of straight-run gasoline fraction distillate, as well as a change in the physicochemical parameters of the light fractions obtained as a result of the cavitation effect and the low-temperature cracking. It has been established that the processes of wave action on oil occurring in the electromag… Show more

“…In [90], results of the impact of intensive motion of ferromagnetic elements (Brownian motion) in the vortex layer activator on hydrocarbon feedstock are presented. The authors assume that under the influence of an external electromagnetic field, the ferromagnetic elements are remagnetized creating a magnetostriction effect that initiates acoustic cavitation.…”

“…Most scientists in the field recognize that the specific properties and complex composition of heavy oils and oil residues do not allow the use of classical processing methods for light oils; such schemes are ineffective or not suitable at all [1,2,4,[14][15][16]. One of the actual methods of intensification of thermal processes of refining of high-viscosity oils is wave action (ultrasonic, acoustic, ultra-frequency) [56][57][58][59][60][61][62][63][64][65].…”

“…The efficiency of processing raw materials with ozone to the depth of conversion of fuel oil under the conditions of its cracking process and the possibility of lowering the temperature to 425-450 °С are described [1,2,4,[58][59][60][61][62][63][64][65][66][67][68][69][70][71][72][73][74][75]]. In the literature, studies are known of the processes of cracking vacuum distillates on a zeolite-containing catalyst and the reforming of gasoline fractions on a modified catalyst in the presence of atmospheric oxygen.…”
