Incidence and predictors of restenosis after coronary stenting in 10 004 patients with surveillance angiography

Abstract: In this large cohort of patients with angiographic surveillance we demonstrated the impact of device  development on antirestenotic efficacy, with sequentially improved efficacy from BMS to first generation DES to second generation DES. Predictors of restenosis were small vessel size, increased stented length, complex lesion morphology, diabetes mellitus, and prior bypass surgery.

“…Third, angiographic follow-up data were missing in 20% of patients: although these data are deemed missing not at random, 24 it is a consistent feature of angiographic follow-up studies. However, numerous studies have shown that angiographic surrogates are robust markers of device efficacy 13,19 and that the validity of such data is high when rates of angiographic by guest on May 11, 2018 http://circinterventions.ahajournals.org/ Downloaded from BVS Versus DES in Multilesion PCI follow-up approach 80%. 25 Fourth, patient enrollment was limited to just 2 high-volume centers.…”

“…DES is currently the stent of choice in patients undergoing PCI due to its lower risk of restenosis and target lesion revascularization 27 . However, this is offset by the risk of late and very late stent thrombosis.…”

“…В многочисленных зарубежных клинических исследованиях обсуждают частоту выявления комор-бидной патологии у пациентов кардиохирургических клиник, ее динамику, влияние на исходы хирургиче-ских вмешательств [5,[9][10][11][12][13][14][15]. В отечественной литера-туре этому вопросу уделяется меньше внимания [4,[16][17][18].…”
