Inadequacies of Sphygmomanometers Used in Emergency Care Services in a Large Capital City in Brazil

Abstract: Background: Hypertension is the main risk factor for cardiovascular diseases. Technical quality of sphygmomanometers is a prerequisite for the correct measurement of arterial pressure.
