“…ClO 2 is widely recognized as an excellent disinfectant for environmental sanitation, food safety, and agricultural production. Although there have been many reports on its sterilization mechanism, 1018,33,34 we were able to successfully capture the real-time effects of aqueous ClO 2 at the individual Nb spore level using optical trapping and Raman spectroscopy. These data thus provide new insight into the inactivation mechanism of ClO 2 from the perspective of single-cell effects and molecular spectroscopy.…”
