“…Thymus linearis, a creeping, strongly scented matforming scrublet, belongs to the Lamiaceae family whose members are typically rich in terpenoids and phenolic phytochemicals henceforth demonstrate potential bioactivities like anticancer, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidants (Banno, & et al, 2004;Pedersen, 2000). It habitats in Himalayas, in regions of India, Nepal, Afghanistan, while in Kashmir it is chiefly found in upper hilly zones such as Tangamarg, Gulmarg, Naranag, Dachigam, Sonamarg, Pahalgam, and Budgam at an altitude of 4,200 m. The different extracts from Thymus linearis have demonstrated significant vasorelaxant (Auger, & et al, 2018), antimicrobial, antipyretic, antinociceptive, antioxidant, and hepatoprotective activity (Naz et al, 2018). Therefore, having stated the medicinal significance of Thymus linearis, the present study was focused to isolate and investigate the effect of potent single isolates/compounds against diverse cancers.…”
