In vivo Activation of the Interleukin-6 Receptor/gp130 Signaling Pathway in Pituitary Corticotropes of Lipopolysaccharide-Treated Rats

Abstract: Adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) release from anterior pituitary corticotropes is greatly increased during peripheral inflammation induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) administration.
