Micropropagation of Cyrtopodium paludicolum (Orchidaceae) from root tip explants

“…Plants hydration was a constant care during the acclimatization stage, in order to ensure high humidity, since C. paludicolum is usually found in flooded areas. Rodrigues et al (2015) obtained up to 90% of acclimatization success with Cyrtopodium saintlegerianum. Other authors who obtained vitroplants of the Cyrtopodium genus do not report acclimatization data, such as Guo et al (2010), Flachsland et al (2011) and Bellaver et al (2015).…”

Meios suplementados com BAP e ANA influenciaram positivamente no número de brotações de C. saintlegerianum, mas a adição de GA 3 não favoreceu na aclimatação destas plantas (RODRIGUES et al, 2015). No presente estudo, o meio MS acrescido de fitorreguladores proporcionou maior número de brotações, mas não diferiu estatisticamente do meio Knudson C. O meio Knudson C é menos dispendioso em sua composição, seu preparo é mais fácil comparando-se aos demais sendo, portanto, eficiente no desenvolvimento de C. saintlegerianum.…”

“…Meio Knudson C suplementado com 6-benzilaminopurina (BAP), ácido α-naftalenoacético (ANA) e ácido giberélico (GA 3 ) para induzir brotações em protocormos de C. saintlegerianum foi testado. Observou-se que relação auxina-citocinina tem influência no aumento do número de brotações, mas que o uso de GA 3 pode interferir negativamente na aclimatação e reintrodução de plântulas (RODRIGUES et al, 2015). Diante o exposto, o objetivo do presente estudo foi avaliar a germinação de sementes e o rápido desenvolvimento de plântulas de C. saintlegerianum em diferentes meios (in vitro) visando cultivo sustentável.…”
