In situ detection of electrochemical reaction by weak measurement

Abstract: In the field of electrochemical energy storage systems, the use of in situ detection technology helps to study the mechanism of electrochemical reaction. Our group has previously in situ detected the electrochemical reaction in vanadium flow batteries by total internal reflection (TIR) imaging. In order to further improve the detection resolution, in this study, the weak measurement (WM) method was introduced to in situ detect the electrochemical reaction during the linear sweep voltammetry or the cyclic volta… Show more

“…The changes in LI corresponding to the image collected by the surface refractive index sensor were calculated by deconvolution, and the obtained LSV curve is shown in Figure 4b. 33 The oxidation peak current looked similar to that obtained by the electrochemical workstation.…”

“…Figure a shows the CV curves of the current and potential of different electrodes obtained by the EW. Figure b shows the CV curves between the relative current density and the potential obtained by the WM method, which will be converted to an absolute current density according to the calibration work . When the peak current and the peak absolute current density were extracted, the ratio of the two was the electrochemical RSA we need.…”

“…Also, i pa , i pc , and i(OE) in Figure 2c correspond to the result of the deconvolution of λ pa , λ pc , and λ(OE) in Figure 2b. For simplicity, the absolute current density with a physical unit had been obtained from the previous work through the calibration experiment, 19 which can avoid seeking the unknown diffusion coefficient. The calibration result is shown in Figure 2d.…”
