“…Figure 4 displays the magnetization curves and the nitrogen adsorption capacity of some samples in Table 1. The magnetization curves shown in Figure 4a are consistent with the magnitude scale measured for composites with variable ferromagnetic spheres loads [16][17][18][19]. Figure 4b is a magnification of Figure 4a for low magnetic fields in which the characteristic hysteresis loops of ferromagnetic materials are distinguished.…”

“…Applying the desirability function methodology for α-Fe2O3MSs and PdNCs embedded α-Fe2O3MSs, the optimum level of parameters obtained were pH 1.72, catalyst dosage 2.69 g L -1 and irradiation time 68.34 min for maximum decolorization of 93.85 and 96.56% respectively. Compared to the results obtained by using other Fenton catalysts like mesoporous Fe2O3-SiO2 composite, α-Fe2O3supported HY zeolite, Fe3O4/MWCNTs nanocomposites, Fe3O4 nanoparticles, steel industry waste for degradation of MO, PdNCs embedded α-Fe2O3MSs displayed a higher discoloration ratio even at a lower reaction time (Panda et al, 2011;Jaafar et al, 2012;Xu et al, 2016;Zhao et al, 2016;Ali et al, 2013). Even though a higher amount of PdNCs embedded α-Fe2O3MSs catalyst dosage was used for decolorization, the main advantage was the lower reaction time, recoverability.…”

“…Maifanite is a kind of natural clay minerals with an eco-friendly characteristic, which is abundant in China 32 , 33 . Maifanite has great surface area and strong adsorption capacity due to the vesicular pores and sponge shaped morphological structure 34 , 35 . It could adsorb P via chemisorption due to the aluminum (Al) and iron (Fe), etc.…”

“…The market price of raw maifanite (RMF) is about 300–400 yuan (¥)/t. Due to its low cost and high capability, maifanite has been applied to soil improvement 35 , which contains amino acid and some trace elements, and could be further combined with ecological remediation. The adsorption capacity of RMF material is usually limited, attributed to the presence of impurity and the permanent negative charges due to isomorphous substitution effect 37 .…”
