“…It is comprised of species associated with plant and human as pathogens(Khiralla et al 2019). However, its species have also been isolated as endophytes from various plants(Khiralla et al 2016;Sharma et al 2018;Kalimuthu et al 2022). A previous study conducted byKharwar et al (2011) reported endophytic Curvularia lunata isolated from leaf tissue of Adenocalymma alliaceum as dominant species which well corroborates the present study.…”

“…Futher, GC-MS analysis confirmed the presence of 2,4-di-tert-butylphenol, heptadecane, 2,6,10,14-tetramethyl, tetradecanoic acid, 2-hydroxy-, methyl ester, γ-terpinene, p-cymene, and oxirane (chloromethyl) in the crude extract of the fungus (Nwobodo et al, 2022 ). An in vitro study was done by Kalimuthu et al ( 2022 ) that conclude the anti-oxidant and anti-cancer potential of Curvularia geniculata isolated from Phyllanthus niruri L. They extract total 13 compounds from which 2-methyl-7-phenylindole shows high binding affinity for epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), having high radical scavenging activity and cytotoxicity against HepG2 cell lines with IC 50 value of 62.23 μg/mL. Curvularia species produce a vast diversity of secondary metabolites in which polyketides, alkaloids, quinones, and terpenes are major groups.…”

“…The DPPH radical scavenging activity of H. indicus (L) R.Br. extract was performed using DPPH reagent (4g DPPH dissolved in 90% methanol), as indicated by our previously published article with slight modi cation (47). Brie y, 0.1 mM DPPH solution (0.1 mM) 1 mL of freshly prepared DPPH solution was added to 3 mL of different concentrations (6.25-100 mg mL-1) of H. indicus (L) R.Br.…”
