erbal formulations are in high demand on the global market. The human epidermis is the most vulnerable organ in the body to infections and disease-causing microbes. It also acts as the majorly responsible body part for respiration. As a result, it needs a great deal of care and protection. Many skin issues can occur throughout puberty due to internal component imbalances and hormone imbalances. The most prevalent skin condition is acne. The most commonly afflicted areas are the face and neck. The removal of oil from the face is a preventative measure. This will need proper cleaning and washing. Antibiotic gels and anti-acne washes or masks containing synthetic medicines are presently available on the market. Unfortunately, in addition to treating illnesses and killing infections, these medicines may have adverse effects. Various studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of herbal-based compositions for cleansing and oil removal. As a result of this necessity, we came up with the notion of using herbs and various plant derived components markedly useful in the various treatments of skin-related conditions. The characteristics of various face wash and their efficacy are reviewed in the current study comprehensively. The main objective of this study is the comparison of Ingredients used in various formulations of face wash like Neem, Aloe vera, Belpatra, Curry, Haldi, Lemon, Indian madder, Sweet flag, Lodhra, Gelling agent, Preservative, Neutralizer, Humectants, Vehicle, Perfume, Chelating agent, on the basis of evaluation and effective development of emerging techniques used in the markedly available face wash which reportedly proven as an advantageous measure of treatment.

Masker gel peel-off merupakan salah satu bentuk sediaan kosmetika perawatan, yang bertujuan untuk mengangkat kotoran yang menempel di kulit wajah. Komposisi basis dalam formulasi masker gel peel-off sangat menentukan respon sifat fisik dan stabilitas sediaan berupa pH, daya sebar, waktu kering dan viskositas. Permasalahan yang sering dialami dalam formulasi masker gel peel- off yaitu waktu kering dan viskositas yang tidak memenuhi standar. Sehingga, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk optimasi formula dalam sediaan masker gel peel-off nanopartikel ekstrak labu kuning, untuk mendapatkan formula optimal basis PVA, propilenglikol dan karbomer yang memiliki stabilitas fisik sesuai persyaratan. Design expert digunakan sebagai software untuk menentukan formula optimal menggunakan metode D-optimal, dengan respon sifat fisik pH, daya sebar, waktu kering, viskositas dan sentrifugasi. Formula optimal yang digunakan adalah formula dengan nilai desirability mendekat 1. Ekstrak daging labu kuning dibuat dalam ukuran nanopartikel dengan rasio kitosan: Na TPP: Ekstrak (5:1:1) kemudian dilakukan pengukuran transmittan dan ukuran partikel (PSA). Hasil optimasi nanopartikel didapatkan ukuran partikel ekstrak 256,4 nm dengan nilai transmittan 99,88%. Optimasi formula diperoleh komposisi formula optimal PVA (3,951 g), karbomer (0,576 g) dan propilenglikol (5,473 g) memberikan respon sifat fisik berupa pH (5,99), daya sebar (5 cm), waktu kering (6,10 menit) dan viskositas (9252 cps). Uji T menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan bermakna antara hasil optimasi berdasarkan software design expert dengan uji konfirmasi formula optimal (p 0,388> 0,5).

Background:Herbal based hair dyes are being preferred on large scale, due to the vast number of advantages it exerts to overcome the ill-effects of a chemical based hair dye. We have attempted to prepare and standardize this preparation to ensure its quality as well as stability aspects.Objective:The current research was aimed at the preparation of herbal hair dye and the evaluation of its various parameters as organoleptic, physico-chemical, phytoconstituents, rheological aspects, patch test and stability testing for its efficacy and shelf life.Materials and Methods:The herbal dye was prepared in-house according to the proposed composition, using all the natural ingredients. The dye was evaluated for its organoleptic, physico-chemical and stability parameters.Results:The parameters were found to be comparable and sufficient for the evaluation of herbal dye. The values of different evaluations justified the usage of the hair dye.Conclusion:Herbal based hair dye has been prepared and evaluated using the various parameters. It offers a natural alternate, which can be used, irrespective of any side effects. The results can be incorporated while developing the pharmacopoeial standards.
