Improving the urban heritage based on a tourism risk assessment using a hybrid fuzzy MADM method: The case study of Tehran's central district

Abstract: A primary reason for the failure of renewal plans for the heritage of urban areas is ignorance of the risk factors of tourism. Urban heritage sites are valuable tourism resources and focus on tourism activities. These sites are affected by risks and negative events. Assessing tourism risks requires an in-depth knowledge of the current situation. Thus, in order to reduce the risk of tourism on urban heritage, it is necessary to assess the risk of tourist destinations. This study assesses the urban heritage of c… Show more

“…However, various factors influence hotel appraisal efficiency or accuracy, such as appraiser morals, approaches, and market impact. Future studies should focus on these variables and manage the linguistic ambiguity using the techniques, such as IF-MADM (Zhuang et al, 2018) and Fuzzy MCDM (Hosseini et al, 2021).…”

“…BWM has been widely applied in many fields such as in supply chain management, risk analysis, biology, automotive, sustainability, supplier selection, performance evaluation, manufacturing, logistics, airfreight transportation, telecommunications technologies, and so forth (Malek & Desai, 2019). Some of these papers are in mobile phone selection (Rezaei, 2015); in supplier selection, outsourcing partner, and their segmentation (Gupta & Barua, 2017;Lo et al, 2018;Rezaei et al, 2015Rezaei et al, , 2016Prakash and Archana, 2018); tourism risk assessment (Hosseini et al, 2021); Ranking of the barriers for energy efficiency in buildings ; Sustainable innovation management criteria in manufacturing companies (Kusi-Sarpong et al, 2019); Ranking of challenges to transportation for sustainable food supply (Sharma et al, 2019); and efficiency indicator prioritisation (Neves et al, 2022). Gabus and Fontela (1972) developed the decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL).…”
